freelancing after 3 years in Germany?

Hello All,

I would like to keep my question as short as possible. I came into Germany Nov 2004 (erstwhile Green card holder) This month 3 years of legal employment with full rente. I already have my work permit without employer name in it. Now am I eligible for BE (I guess I already have it). Now with BE can work on a freelancing job?

you can not do freelancing with BE. you need to obtain Erwerbstätigkeit Gestattet (EG).
You can go to the Auslanderamt to change your visa status to EG.

So am I eligible for a EG status after 36 months of employment?

you are eligible of EG with 2 months of job with rente.
