Reunion with German Child - processing time

Hi I had an appointment with the German embassy in Dubai a week ago for a long stay visa in Germany. Purpose is to be reunited with my German daughter and spouse. I hols the Lebanese passport. The lady at the counter said processing time will take 6-8 weeks. However, do you know of any cases where it took less than that?
