Spouse visa or Student Visa

Hi I need a little help in deciding which visa to apply for my fiance. I will be getting married later this year, my spouse has Masters, so she is willing to do a masters or a PhD in Germany. I am already pursuing my PhD but Iam on a student visa. Now is it better she applies for a student visa (before marriage itself)either for Master or PhD or a spouse visa once we get married?
How much should I show that I am earning to bring my Spouse here? Will they give a Spouse visa as I am on a Student visa?
