I just bought the wireless router and modem. but all the instructions are in German. I need help setting up another computer using the wireless connection. Please Help!!

I too faced some problems because the manual was in German. Somehow I finally suceeded in installing it. Please let me know which area you are facing problems. BTW you must be having a small instruction manual in English. may be you can start from there.

I have the same modem too. Please let us know where your problem is exactly.

If you are planning to connect "another" PC, I am assuming that you have succesfully run the modem and you can already connect to the internet. That was the hard part actually.

Connecting another PC should be as easy as searching for the network broadcasted by your wireless router and join to that network.

If you are restricting the computers which can establish a connection to your router by their MAC addresses then do not forget to add the MAC adress of the new PC that you are planning to connect to your router.

I got through starting it with the supplied English instructions. Now, how do I go from there to using it wireless? Thanks.

Just found instructions on the web in English. One problem... I'm on a Mac I-Book. Nothing on the disk will work with Mac, from what I can glean anyway.

Actually, I got it to work through a cable. Now, I'm trying to set it up to use the wireless aspect. The CD that I got from T-Mobile doesn't seem to contain software for my Mac I-book.

Any ideas?

If your wireless card on your Imac is working then it should be able to communicate with the router. You dont need an additional software on the computer side. It communicates with the TCP/IP protocol.

I have purchased an old 1054 DSL router and instructions and software were not included in the packet. I tried searching on net but could only found german manual on T-Com site but couldn't find a quick start guide which is in English/German/Turkish and software provided by T-Com. So can somebody please send me a soft copy of this English guide (possibly included in the CD) or a weblink to softcopy/software.

Wouldn't it be as simple as opening your favourite browser and typying the IP address of the router which should be in the range of 192.168.XX.XX

All routers now have an http interface. So it's pretty easy to conifugure irrespective of your desktop env. What you need is just a browser. Could you just try 192.168.2.1.

I want to reset this router as I dont have password to configure. I have tried resetting it using reset button, but doesn't help. (0000 doesn't work)

Need to start from beginning? Reset Sinus 1054 DSL:
1) Disconnect it from your LAN and the phone line.
2) Depress reset button for 10 seconds, then switch it off and disconnect the power supply BUT KEEP
THE RESET BUTTON DEPRESSED.
3) Wait for 90 seconds, still pushing that reset button.
4) Done. Reconnect power, switch it on.
5) Once the router has booted reconnect to the phone/DSL line.
6) Reconnect to your computer using a regular LAN cable, without an IP addy assigned to the LAN port
and DHCP (= automatically assign IP addy) enabled.
7) Enter 192.168.2.1 into your browser, the 0000 password should work now.
