• Implementing algorithms on HCS 12 Motorola Microcontroller inside a FlexXCon compact module. Coding on Crimson Editor using GNU C compilers. Flash burning is done using NoICE debugger software.

• Building a Graphical User Interface for usage with Data Acquisition Toolbox (DAQs) in MATLAB, which provides a complete set of tools for controlling and communicating with a variety of PC-compatible data acquisition hardware. The toolbox is to configure the external hardware devices, read data into MATLAB for analysis, and send out data.

implement a RTP packetizer and a media filter module for the H.263 video codec. The RTP packetizer module is responsible for the fragmentation into RTP packets according to the RTP payload format defined in RFC 2429. Then, a framerate filter for H.263 video codec shall be implemented. The framerate filter first has to analyse an incoming video stream, before an appropriate dropping strategy can be determined.

• Researched on Adaptive Filter Algorithms and Tracking Algorithms like Kalman Filters for Linear models and Extended and Unscented Kalman Filters for Non-linear models and implemented them with an Interacting Multiple Model (IMM) based on its mixing probabilities ( Multitarget model ). Implemented these filters using MATLAB for the analysis of its different behaviors. (This research is aimed at designing intelligent cars)
• Experienced with DSP architecture TMS320C6X series and Code composure tools.

your friend has described his/her technical background very precisely, but it is too detailed. A higher abstracted description would be more informative - just a thought.

It seems that he/she has experience from low level programming (RS232 communication, debugger experience) to hi-level programming (MATLA.

If you can feed us in which applications your friend made experience, I think it might be better to help you in that case. Biomedical engineering? Developing Test Equipment products? etc.
