Time Required to Process Work Permit
Answer

Hello everyone,
I am about to start the VISA process and at the embassy they say it will takes up to 3 months. How many months I should expect to wait?
My employer require me in 2 months. Is there any way to accelerate the process?
I am a System Engineer and the job is IT related, should I try the GC? Which are it´s handicaps or disadvantages? Will it require less time?
Thanks (in advance) for your help!

You cannot get GC since it unfortunately does not exist any more due to law changes.

Processing of your work permit will take up to 3 months, perhaps it can be somewhat faster. Hard to say because mostly it depends on the local administration in the city where your employer is. The best way to accelerate the process is that your prospective employer uses the services of the professional relocation services company. In this way they will submit all the necessary documents at once and fill them properly.

Thanks for you quick response.
uufff... I thought that there is still special treatment for "computer specialists". I have found some info at my embassy, but no detailed data about restrictions and handicaps (and if it still exists).
So, well... the only way is that my employer contacts the local work office and hurry them up. And wait...
thanks again.

No - that is wrong - your employer should contact local immigration office (Ausländeramt), not Arbeitsagentur.
