Do Someone Needs to Return a German Driving Licence after Leaving Germany?

Hello All!

I have a Deutsche Führerschein (German Driving License - Class emoticon

since one year. I left Germany recently, should I need to return my driving licence to Führersheinstelle or can I keep it to me?
Would this be valid for my possible entry to Germany in near future?
