Hi All,

My wife applied for family reunion visa about three months ago. In Oct. I got a letter from Stadtamt to submit various documents and they told me that everything is fine and they will send email to German Embassy Delhi on the same day that they can issue the visa subject to marriage verfication.

Yesterday I called the embassy and they informed me that they are still waiting for the reply from Aliens office in Germany. In India, the marriage verfication process has already been done.

Does any one know what do they mean by Aliens office? Is it different from the Stadtamt where I was to submit my documents? Do the application go through two different offices in Germany?

Aliens office means foreigners office.. it is same as stadamt..
