'Verflichtungserklarung' valid period ?

Hello Everyone.

Does anybody have an idea for how long is a 'Verflichtungserklarung' valid after being made ?

Situation : I am going to India and I am expecting that my mother will be travelling back with me. But this is not sure right now. In case she does come back with me, I am planning to get a Verflichtungserklarung for her and take it with me to India. But my stay in India would be for 2.5 months and only towards the end would we know if she is coming with me or not. Now my question is that if I get this Verflichtungserklarung
now and we go to the German Embassy in India after 2.5 months, will they still consider it as valid or not ?

Does anyone has any such experience ?

Hi,

If i remember exactly,You can apply for a open Verflichtungserklaerung.
You can explain ur situation in rathouse or auslaendersbehoerde or where ever
it is.You may probably get a sponcercertificate which has no starting and
ending date specified on it but only valid for 3 months after entering the
German territory.

In India,When u apply Visa 4 ur mother, bring also this so-called
"Verplifchtungserklaerung" with you.The whole process may take 2 to 3 days
depending on the region.
