Hello my visa interview was on september 1 2014 .I had taken a preparatory course of 1 year and then opted to do my masters in one of the partner university of the language school for the time being ,wghich i can change once i reach Germany .But the real problem was i was given admission to IT in german language wen my UG was Mechanical engineering .Even thouigh i requested them time and agin to change it ,they said it will not be a problem for my VI.But yesterday i was literally shouted upon by a german lady in the consulate who kept questioning me for about 30 mins and asked me about the subjects in IT .Thoiugh i told her i was interested in doin my IT in Germany which i can club with my UG knowledge of Mechanical i can have a succesful carrer in both the feilds since the whole Industries uses Cmputers and robots to do their jobs ,but she kept tellin me i was lying.I was literally on the verge of tears and im sure my visa will get rejected emoticon Now im planning to study german and apply for march intake in my own field without any second thoughts ,but if my visa gets rejected this time(which i am pretty sure)will it be a very serious problem for me agin in march ? I want to be fully prepared and ready from my side ,but considering my previous case will they again give me trouble in granting my Student visa ?? My parents are really worriede and advice me to choose a different country ,but i want to do my MS in Germany so bad ! emoticon Please help me ....

'Jugaad' does not exist in Germany man,. They will not admit you to some other program other than what you had requested.. It appears that you have applied to this IT program so that when you come to Germany you can make use of the flexible system to switch to mechanical. Mech. programme is probably very competitive with a shortage of engineers.IT program is easy to get admitted.

But yesterday i was literally shouted upon by a german lady in the consulate who kept questioning me for about 30 mins and asked me about the subjects in IT .Thoiugh i told her i was interested in doin my IT in Germany which i can club with my UG knowledge of Mechanical i can have a succesful carrer in both the feilds since the whole Industries uses Cmputers and robots to do their jobs ,but she kept tellin me i was lying.I was literally on the verge of tears and im sure my visa will get rejected emoticon

many desibhabhas from a particular postcode have come to Germany, stopped studying and doing 6 euro per hour jobs...She smelt something wrong... Someone with mech background doing IT course.. Your motivation was not strong enough.. For a masters course is more specialised.. you were trying to be jack of all trades, master of science

Now im planning to study german and apply for march intake in my own field without any second thoughts ,but if my visa gets rejected this time(which i am pretty sure)will it be a very serious problem for me agin in march ? If you apply again, there is a high chance it will  be rejected. It is better you apply in March into mech program
choose a different country ,but i want to do my MS in Germany so bad ! emoticon Please help me ....

Good luck

I am going to apply again in March ! And yes ofcourse im going to apply for Mech program ! In the mean time im goin to study uptill B2 of german ...but my only primary and biggest worry is that will this rejection be a problem when i try to get into my field of study along with the german language certificate ??? Will they look up my previous records and reject my visa again ?? I'm so worried about that ! emoticon

if your motivation to study masters is clear to them and everything else is fine, there is a high change visa will be granted. If past rejections should not matter, unless if you used fraudulent means to apply for visa.

Dont worry too much, if you dont get German visa that does not mean you have reached a deadend. Move on!!

No i did not use any fraudulent manner to apply for my visa ,the only thing was my masters was in IT while my UG was in Mechanical ..which i intended to change to my stream after i moved to Germany...but the next time im going to apply only for my stream since i have a clear idea about the problem of choosing a different masters from my UG....the  thing i worry is because my past records shouldn't deter my future application ..so emoticon and its not like reached a deadend i know, but still doin my masters in Germany and working there has been my passion since long time so emoticon

David,

As Cebit rightly mentioned, your past rejections does not influence current application. For any visa officer or office, each application is as that of new application. It could be that they might ask you why you got rejection last time. If you can answer this question without any false information and that is agreeable then you have fair chance of getting visa next time.

Do not worry on this topic so much. Move on and do your homework well. Good luck then.

This was the reasons given for students visa rejection for one applicant recently...Please look at the attachment

Student visa rejection was unheard couple of years ago.

Looks like they are trying to filter scums and looking for the cream.
