Dear All

I am caught in a situation now and I thought it best to rely on this forum for assistance before I proceed.

My German residence permit is valid till August 24th and I have to attend a personal interview in the UK in August 26th. 

I read from one of the old threads from this forum that one of the prerequisites for a Business Visit visa application to the UK is that the applicant must POSSESS a residence permit  with a minimum validity period of six months for the country of residence (in my case germany). 

If the above is the case, I can of course extend the German visa (only for about 2-3 months though since I do not have a running job contract) and then apply for the UK business visa.

What is your opinion? Any previous experiences will be appreciated.

If you are able to convince the UK embassy that you will finish your interview and return to Germany, then they will grant you the visa.
