I came to Germany in Feb 2006.I am working as an engineer in Berlin.I have not attended any integration course but i have completed a language couse A1 which my company conducted and have a certificate for this.I was reading that integration couse is must for NE.
can anyone guide me when i can apply for NE and can i do without completing integration course.I can speak German language but not very fluently.

If you have been working(no study period involved) in Germany since your arrival, make sure that you paid rente (pension contribution) for 60 months.
since u arrived after 1.1.2005, integration certificate is a must for NE application.

this site has information(also in English) about how to apply for an integrations course, the course providers in your city etc.

I also heard the possibility of applying for NE without waiting 5 yrs if one's yearly income is greater than X euros.
(X > 64000, not sure,pls check)
