Hello All,

I am in Germany at the moment and I am waiting for my wife to join in here. I need to know the minimum area and the minimum no. of rooms that I need to have as a contract to get the visa for my wife.

Hi,

I do not know what foreigners offices expecting, maybe some other users have made some experiences?

But for people who get social benefits, there are some guidelines written in the social law. This should be equivalent for your case:
  • 1 Personenhaushalt 47 m²
  • 2 Personenhaushalt 62 m²
  • 3 Personenhaushalt 77 m²
  • 4 Personenhaushalt 92 m²
  • 5 Personenhaushalt 107 m²
  • Für jede weitere Person zusätzlich 15 m²
They do not mention if it has to be more than one room.

12.5 sq. m for each person. Ask the ABH in your city.
