Hello Friends,

I have private health insurance at present but now I want to switch to the Public one. My situation is that my monthly income is below the limit(3937,50 Euro (Brutto)) for PKV but annual income is more than this limit because of some added bonus i got from my employer.

My question is what exactly is considered; monthly income or annual income? I know there are many posts regarding health insurance but i did not find anything related to this specific point.

Annual income - 47250 Euro for 2006.

what are the advantages to change to PKV over GKV?
