Dear All,

My second child was born recently and we got the letter from the behörde that he is eligible for citizenship. This I believe is because he was born after one of the Parent is eligible for the DE citizenship.

All well but...

My first child was born in 2007 and at that time I didn't even have NE. Now using the same logic as in the case of my first child, is it possible to obtain DE citizenship for my first child too?

Could anyone of you provide your opinion?

PS. Both of the parents are non-DE citizenship. For variety of reasons, we are not considering to get the DE citizenship immidetialy.
