Working for a german company abroad

Dear All

Here is my tricky question:

- I have been granted the Blue Card a couple of months ago, based on a work in a company in Germany where they wanted me to go after 3 months abroad for 10 months to a non-EU country.

- The point is: What thing could I do that might jeopordize my chances of getting the permenant residency after 21 months. I speak good german, and I already have the blue card. For example, the work told me that I have the option of paying taxes abroad and so my Lohnsteuer gets deducted in Germany. Will this affect my permenant residency option? I will still pay my rente and other related payments..

I hope its clear enough , and I am happy to elaborate more..
