Job Seeker Information Needed - Please help

Toggle
Hello All,

I am from India and  have just landed in Germany on a dependant visa, my wife is working in IT.
I have 10 years experience in Online Advertising and would like to search for a job here, but I have few questions.

1.Is it necessary to know German before I start this job hunt?
2.Is there any specific German Format for resume format, If so can you please share?
3.I have uploaded my resume in few german sites, Do we have any specific job consultants whom we can contact for a job ?
4.As I am on a dependant visa, if I get employed my employers contract will help me get a work permit.Am I right ? here?
5. Mentioning that I am on a dependant visa to the employers, will this affect while they are shortlisting my resume.

Can you please let me know your suggestions and thoughts.

Regards
Phani.

Hi Phanic,

I will just give my opinion ( not a legal advice). However, there are many experts in this forum who will be in a better position to guide you.

1.German -If you know A-Level it will be convenient for you.
2. Resume format for job- Mine was processed on a simple but yes standard Resume (details, qualification experience etc.) Sample can be easily searched over internet
3.Job consultants- (Options are there, just google it. However it will be very expensive.) If I may suggest ,please visit jobboerse muenchen it will be a good option (Google it).
4.Employment Contract- That's definitely required.... to secure a work permit.
5. Mentioning about dependent visa- Depends upon employer but most of the companies have a broader spectrum these days. In my opinion it should not be a problem.

Oh not sure but if your wife is on a blue card it may favor your hunt.

All the best ciao..and yes Herzliche willkommen. emoticon
