Hallo friends,

I have some questions regarding less than 400 Euro jobs. Please can some of the experts help me find these answers.

1. Does one require ArbeitErlaubnis to take up jobs which may earn less than 400 Euro per month or which are on ad-hoc basis only ?

2. If you are already working and paying taxes and decide to take up a job for < 400 Euros, does this also be a part of your tax declaration or is it exempted ?

Thankyou for your time and help.

Thanks,
Raj

I dont think one need AE for this as you dont need any Taxcard to get this job.

When you are doing a full time job, you are allowed to take one 400 Euro job in the side. As far as i know you dont pay any tax and so should be exempted.

@ 1. If your visa is company dependent i.e. if u dont have BE then you cant take up this 400 euro job without taking permission from AB where ur visa was issued.

in the case of BE holders, yes you are allowed to take one 400 euro job apart from your regular full time job. but total earning from 2nd job should not be more than 400 euros a month and 4800 euros a year (this sum includes all christmas and urlaubs money etc.)

@ 2. this is a part of your tax declaration but you dont pay any taxes on it as ur employer pays total 125 euros for you to govt.(renten/sozial etc. etc. versich.) when u r getting 400 euros a month.

For every work/job you will/have to do, you will need a permission, thus an AE, even if it won't appear in a tax paper.
