Hello All,

I need some insight here. Is it possible for my wife to do internships if she is on a dependent visa? At present I have a permanent residence.

Is she already in Germany? I too had a PR and when my wife came over, she got the permission
to work from Day 1. So i guess its not a problem... Just ask the ABH

If you have NE then she should get work permit immediately. If she is allowed to do Internship or not in a particular company depends more on company's policy. My company for e.g. demands a Bescheinigug from University which clearly states that the internship is part of curriculum (for the student in question). Smaller comanies usually do not have problem with it.
