Waiting times in Chennai for visa appointment?

Hi,

I applied for my employment visa at German consulate in Chennai on 21st Dec. I have got an appointment on 17th Jan for collecting biometrics. VFS told me only 5 applicants will be processed per day at Chennai. Does anyone have similar experiences? My visa will not be processed till I provide biometrics. Can I tell me how long does it take for one to get the visa after providing biometrics?
