Residence and work permit after marriage

Hello everyone!

I am Venezuelan and my husband is German. We got married in the US 2 months ago and we just got back to Germany. I did the registration at the Bürgeramt and today we called to the Auslanderamt for my next appointment. I was very dissapointed to hear that they can receive me in 6 weeks! My husband told me that they will issue my ID that day, but my biggest concerned is to get a work permit after that.
Does anybody have an idea of long does it take after having the residence permit, to get a work permit, being married to a citizen? I have a bachelor's degree in Journalism and Communications, so I don't need any special validation as a doctor or a lawyer would.
Is somebody else on the same situation? Thanks in advance for the tips!
