Hi All,

What is"ZAV"? Does ZAV have a role in giving residence permit? For how much duration do they give the residence permit? What criteria do they look in a candidate while giving residence permit?

Also what does consulate do once they get an approval frm ZAV?

I am also having same questions like you. Can you please let me know the answers.

Also friends on this forum please help me to understand what role ZAV plays in the work permit approval process.

Hi,

here you can explore about the ZAV by yourself. The website is in English...

Just one example of foreigner related duties of the ZAV: If a Blue Card applicant has a job offer for less than 47.600,-€, the ZAV has to check the application. If the expected salary is above this amount, the ZAV is not necessarly involved in the work permit process.
