Switching back to Public health Insurance after few months

My wife had a health insurance(KVA) togather with me under family health insurance with AOK.Last year She started to work as self employed and choosed a private Health Insurance. Now She has ended her self employment .Now She is not allowed to join AOk under family Health Insurance.
Any body can suggest suitable solution?
