Hi

I just wanted to let you know that a new regulation entering in force today has cancelled the concept of Überbrückungsgeld (for people going Freiberufler, it was an amout of ALG I + 69% of ALG I given for 6 months) and has been replaced by something, well, less attractive.

Überbrückungsgeld und Ich-AG entfallen
Die Hilfen für Existenzgründer werden im August durch den Gründerzuschuss abgelöst. Dabei bekommen Gründer, die ein tragfähiges und geprüftes Konzept vorlegen, zunächst für neun Monate 300 Euro. Halten sie das Dreivierteljahr durch, kann der Zuschuss für weitere sechs Monate gewährt werden. Bedingung ist allerdings, dass die Antragsteller noch mindestens 90 Tage Anspruch auf ALG I haben. Bezieher von ALG II können nicht gefördert werden. Die Zuschüsse sind dafür gedacht, dass sich Gründer sozialversichern können. Da die Anspruche auf ALG I während der Förderdauer verwirken, ist eine freiwillige Arbeitslosenversicherung empfehlenswert.
