Hello all,

I got a job offer in the company that i am doing my diplomarbeit.My supervisor asked me to find out the various options of applying for Job Visa.

My location is Sachsen-Anhalt.Expected gross salary is 20000-30000 euros per year.
My job comes under IT.

So please suggest under which category shall i apply for VISA.

there is only one category.
you need AE with WP, that is all.
GC does not exists any more, so all AE are the same.
you have to ask for AE but it is not certain that you will get it (AMC).

and I guess it is not a shortened period anymore like the good-old GC. Before it was, I guess, 1 week time for AA to finish the AMC. But now with the new law, I guess AA can take the time as much as they want, to decide. At least, there is nothing that lawfully forces them to decide quickly.

But some ABHs still try to give IT-Profis quicker treatment. I saw one post here in the forum talking about Frankfurt ABH which tries to keep the things easy for ITlers also with the new law.

AE - ArbeitsErlaubnis(Workpermit)
WP - Workpermit
AA - ArbeitsAmt (Employment office)
AMC - ArbeitsMarktCheck (Market check)
ABH -AusländerBehörde (Alien office)

Depending on your contract

Yes.

AE is AufenthaltsErlaubnis - residence permit
AE could be ArbErl but since we call it

there are few others:
NE NiederlassungsErlaubnis - permanent residence

The job cannot be filled by German so easily because one need to speak Kannada and Tamil for this job because our company is working with two Indian companies as partners.

I guess that its unlikely that a german knows Kannada.

Is this the only uncertainity or any more problems like less salary or some others?

This is just a note ... what work in It are u goin to do which requires the knowledge of Kannada . I gues the arbeit market check in not on the spoken languages but more on the work esp IT ..it will be for languages or any other soft skills.... it was a nice humourous post which u last made.

I understood that AMC is only for profile checking for softskills and not for spoken languages.

Is there any way that we can make profile such that it wont suit German?

or can we use some lawywers to defend that one need to speak Indian Languages for the job.

Its true that this job can be filled only by an Indian or anyone who has good knowledge of Indian culture.The company will not give this job to german or any EU guy.

They really need an Indian.

No worries. IMHO you can specify the language skill as part of the job description. There is nothing wrong with that, as far as I know.

The most important thing is that your payment is in the level of your German colleagues. (or it fullfilles the average salary level in the state that you are working)

PS: You may experience a long waiting time for the AMC (maybe smt around 4-8 weeks ?), although no EU citizen seems to fill the position that you are applying for.
