Dear friends,

Few months ago I got my Niederlassungserlaubnis. I was not fully aware to the Daueraufenthalt EG, which according to what I read has the same prerequisites as the Niederlassungserlaubnis, but can provide much more in return.

My questions to you:

Is it possible to convert my Niederlassungserlaubnis to Daueraufenthalt EG?

Do I have to apply again from the beginning, or do I simply have to go to the ABH, pay the required fee and get it?

--> Yes, it is possible if you got Niederlassungserlaubnis after 5 years stay

--> Just visit the ABH and they will guide you.
