Can NE be transferred to new passport ?

Hi Friends,

Does anyone know if NE can be transferred from the old passport to the new renewed one ? And, what would one possibly needs to do for it ?

Go to the auslanderbehorde with old and new passport and ask them to transfer the NE to the new passport. for a small service charge they should do it.

no you can not transfer NE to new pass.
if you change pass you loose NE and you have to go trough Arbeitsmarktcheck again to get ArbErl and after 5 years you can get NE again.

My passport is due to expire early next year. So, will it be a good idea to wait for new passport and then apply for NE. Or to apply for NE on my existing passport and then get it transferred to the new passport ?

when do you reach 5 y in D or when your AE erlischt is important.
if now than you have to get NE now.
if next year than in new pass

NE under section 19

Hi Experts,
Could any one tell me the status difference if you get your NE by using section 9 and using section 19. I am more interested to know in terms of getting pasport.Do they require the same amount of time to get the passport ?
