Hi all,
I am hoping that a German guy inside goverment some day reads this forum and does something about it since it's really not fair. it's really sad , the way we are treated by officials in ABH. I am on my way to change my job by 01.04.2005. My salary + bonus is around 85K + I have been living here for 55 months. I asked ABH officer whether I could apply now for NE and I was told no, it's not possible and nothing is still clear for them. The position that I am having in future has been open for more than 18 months in Germany and couldn't be occupied by any German citizen. I think it's just a matter of stupidity to deal with specialist like me and you guys in this way. I am really dissapointed and regret why I didn't choose another country for settling down. just look at Canada , how they treat specialist and compare it with here. I just want to know the reational behind such a behaviour.
Cheers

Hello,

With regard to Niederlassungserlaubnis I could make no comment because I don't even have a GC, or even a part-time work permit in Germany.
So, as far as the formalities are concerned I am in a more miserable situation in comparison to most of the people. In spite of this, I keep on searching for a job. At this point the kind of jobs that are not easily be occupied by EU-citizens are important to me.

At the light of these facts, would you like to tell me what kind of a position is it that you mentioned? And also, what are the positions in general that are not easily fulfilled by the EU citizens, I really need to know.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Hi King_pro,

the reaction of the ABH is no surprise to me, they are simply jealous. I had the same situation a few years back and after the ABH beamter had read the certified copy of my "Arbeitsvertrag" he asked me what kind of education and experiece was needed to make such money. I was lucky that he couldn't do anything since the lawyers of the company, of the biggest here in germany, were on his back.
These guys are not used to deal with educated foreigners here and in fact don't really want them here because they think we are taking the german jobs away. It is a sad situation and I am sure it won't change any time soon, it is in their blood. Of course the question I get asked by my colleages is why I came here since there are much better opportunities in US or Canada for example, and their question is sincere.
One thing I know for sure is that I won't be asking ABH to renew my stuff, I will gladly make an "Abmeldung" coming August when my GC expires. :-)

Cheers

Hello Kingpro,

Why don't you use the VPMK lawyer service?
this can make everything things smoother and will be fun to see how the ABH react.

cheers.

Hi :-)

my opinion is that it is a waste of time to stay in germany, your career won't avdance here and you will always be 2nd class here, just another "Auslaender" and your kids too. BTW you doesn't mean you personally :-)
