If you get NE in Germany and you decide to live and work in another EU country and you get a work permit and residence permit in that country, does your NE become invalid when you leave Germany or does it become invalid after a certain amount of time after you leave Germany or is it always valid and you can come back to Germany to live and work whenever you would like?

I would greatly appreciate any comments on this and if you could please include any documents or references to your answers.

Well, the normal NE becomes invalid 6 months after leaving Germany.

They have started issuing NE with the clause "Daueraufenthalt EG" which basically lets you work in other EU countries without loosing your NE (with some exceptions). Do a search for this.

Not all states have implemented this clause yet. So, maybe you can take a trip down KVR and ask the guys about it. Normally, my experience is that the beamter/in do not know about this and you have to haggle quite a bit for them to acknowledge it.
