I am a new member of this group. First of all I would like to say that this place is filled with a lot of info. It is amazing......

I did my Masters in Germany and currently got a green card this month. I have got an unbefristet contract in a big automobile companty working at a system developer ( Well I consider myself really lucky). I am a real novice in the GC world. Could someone tell me how I would be able to integrate the GC into the new gesetz, five years from now. I mean what sort of a work permit would I need to continue working when my green card expired (since my contract is unbefristet).

after 5 years you can apply for the 'Niederlassungserlaubnis', which is unlimited.

I like to know if some one could provide me soem information about the employee status when two companies fuse .

Like my company is taken over by a other bigger company ,but still our company remains the same with same name and management .

1, Can my company fire me .

2, Does any germna law protects us .
As i heard when a fusion happens german law protects us for 1 year .

It means residence permit ! Even if u have a unlimited work permit u need visa (what ever kind) If U loose the job ! find other one as early as possible else U have to leave the country.
