I (indian, post-doct in Phys) came to Germany with my spouse last month and our VISA will expire in Dec-04. My spouse would like to work here. It is not yet clear to us how to go about it. Any help ???

Kindly reply atleast to the follwing Yes/No questions.

1) Is it true that she HAS to wait for atleast a
year before applying for work permit ?
2) If she wants to work here, she has to get her work permit BEFORE applying for VISA extension (or otherwise on her VISA, it will be stamped, "not permitted to work") ?
