is anyone waiting for that auspicious day next year ( The judgement day). My turn is only in 2006 but curious to know who finishes next year. I also thought that all of us ( 14,000 greencard holders) should apply for HSMP program in UK. This might by a big insult for our wonderful politicians..

I think Germany will start immmigration in year 3000( millienium gift)

I before also told how GC program came into force and Germany is not making the same mistakes (for instance with importing turkish work force) again.

I don't expect any immigration law come into force in Germany. At the end of the 5 years period of a GCer, there will always be other people from the same countries who are younger to come and work in Germany willingly ;)

According to what I read it looks that SPD and CDU/CSU will make "deal" about new immigration law which will force point system. Anyway, we will see or read about it soon.
