Hi Everybody

Just comming back to my hollydays, allmost all out of information.

Also little bit late for the "Munich get together". I could have assisted, please write if there´s another.

Anybody knows anything about our beloved Immigration law? I read here today was another meeting for the law. Any news?

I also have read that now the disagree point is the request of one of the parties of a special clause for deportation in case of legal problems. Is this true?

Any response will be wellcome.

Regards

Hi again

Comming early to work sometimes is usefull.

Please check this:

http://www.n24.de/politik/inland/?a2004030906522294233

As far as my primitive Deutschsprache allows, I can see for the first time some kind of "light at the end of the tunnel". Both main parties want us to stay after our beloved 5 years, but now are discussing how. Am I wrong?

Just my 2 cents,

http://de.news.yahoo.com/040309/3/3xa1p.html

it is again delayed, but the good news are that they have made "significant steps ahead"...

Sorry for not having time to translate it, but it's worth reading...

Hi

If I understood it correctly from the words below

"Streitpunkt bei der Einwanderung von Höchstqualifizierten ist, dass die Union lediglich eine Aufenthaltserlaubnis mit einer Zusicherung einer späteren Niederlassungserlaubnis will. Rot-Grün will dagegen eine unbefristete Niederlassungserlaubnis, ähnlich der "Green Card" in den USA."

so both sides actually want the highly qualified workers and rot-grün says we should give
those candidates the PR immediately if they fulfill the requirements but the Union says
we should give them the PR after a probation period (maybe to see if they manage to find a job etc..)

so.. in both cases..(even the Union's idea is accepted) the current GCs in Germany with job and with years
of active working.. should get the PR.. if this discussion becomes a law.. am I wrong ?

sounds promising..

Hi Lacrima

I agree with you.

The Rot-Grün side ask for a scheme similar to the USA Green Card. I´m not so sure (but I guess there is a couple of GCs here who knows it better than me) in USA you get first a visa for 2 years and later you get a longer one but after X years you can ask for a PR.

That´s why I considered interesting the meeting from yesterday.

We have to wait till more opinions appears.
