Hello All;

In light of the following :-

* The prevailing economic situation in our current location.

** The criteria we must fulfill to work here.

*** The need for some of us to shake our tail( like a dog grateful to it's owner for throwing at it a fat bone )for our employer.

In light of all these and maybe more. Is there a thin line between our loyalty(if you like respect) & our right as employee?

To put my case in perspective; I like to give an example.

A lady signs a contract ;which was in two versions (English and Deutsch ).

After 3yrs of working for the employer. The employer gave the lady a document to sign written in the local language.
Of course, the lady refused just as the employer refused to offer her the english version as was done at the beginning(with the original contract) .

In veiw of the fact that we are living in a special place .

Qns :
.1) what's is our right as regards employee/employer
relationship ?

.2) Does any one know a lawyer(fluent in english) that one can
get these information from ?

Hi Onye,

Well as always it depends on the specifics.

Is your company having economic trouble?
Can you post the german document that he wants you to sign?

You can get info on Work Law (Arbeitsrecht)
http://www.google.de/search?hl=de&q=arbeitsrecht&meta=

or in english on EMIRE (an *excellent* site):
http://www.eurofound.ie/emire/GERMANY/WORKPERMIT-DE.html

Regards.
