Can anybody please write about Hausrat Versicherung and Privat Haftpflichtversicherung?

How much these cost?

Name of some good companies from where one can buy these insturances.

What is included or not inculded?

Can we claim this amount while filing the tax return?

How much these cost?, depends on the package you choose, but I got roughly 250 euros/years for both

any tips on what to watch out when signing for both these insurances.

For Example :

Hausrat Versicherung :

1. Glass Windows for fenster if covered by vermieter - then these does not necessarily need to be included in haustratversicherung, but by default hausrat versicherung includes that.

2. I heard that Hausrat versicherung doesnt cover if the locks into the appartment are not of specific type, but these guys never bother coming and checking that. How to go about these ?.

3. If some damage is caused by you to the apartment that you live ( Of course not knowing ) etc.. would these be covered ?. this is not explicitly stated anywhere though.

Haftpflichtversicherung : I have no clue and need some help here.

There is some 5 Yr contracts with these guys all the time and i am not sure how to get rid of these 5 Yr clauses.

Any info would help.
