Hi all,

I want to change my job and that's why I have to notice my current employer about leaving. In my contract is stated that the notice period "kunfigungfrist" depends by the law. More exactly "gelten die gesetzlich Kundigungfristen".

What does it mean ? One month ? Three months ? Could you give me a pertinent answer ?

Hi marox9,

They mean 3 months. This is the "gesetzliche Kündigungfrist". If you had have any other period for "Kündigungsfrist", it should have been specified in your contract.

Hi

No, it is not 3 months. It depends on the years you have already worked in the company. Up to 5 years of working time, it is only one month of notice period before you leave the company.
