Hello everyone!
I will be doing a 6 months voluntary internship with a German company. I am a recent graduate (completed my engineering in May) and have already obtained the ZAV pre-approval for my internship.

The company is offering me a stipend of 800 Euros a month. My internship duration is from November-March.

I have the following questions:
1. Do I have to pay mandatory social security contributions (including pension insurance, income tax, unemployment insurance, health insurance etc.) because my monthly earnings exceed 450 Euros a month and the internship is voluntary and not mandatory?

2. Will my stipend of 800 Euros enough for proof of sustenance while applying for German National Visa?

Thanks a lot in advance. Any help or leads regarding the questions will be highly appreciated.
