PR (Niederlassungserlaubnis) Application in Germany

visa niederlassungserlaubnis ausländerbehörde alien office

Hi All,

i am from India and living in Germany since 2014 and have blue card since 2015 and in January this year i applied for Permanent Residence and the lady at Alien office (Ausländerbehörde) said that they have to check with certain agencies before giving the PR .i believe it is kind of check back if everything is fine and all.

Till date i have not recieved any approval or something, i checked couple of times with the Alien office and she says that she has not recieved answer from one of the Agency (Sicherheitsbehörde) i have to wait and it can take time. And funny part is one of my known (also having Blue card) got the PR approval within the 7 days from the same Alien office though different Person.
My question is , it is almost 6 months now and i am not getting any satisfactory answer from the Alien office . Should i look for lawyer ? will it bring something ?
What should be my next step ?
