Kid - Dependent Appointment for German national Visa

Hello All,
I am applying for Germany national visa, and had taken appointment. My SPouse and Kid also planning to process Visa for them as well. So i have got the appointment of my spouse 2days later than mine. 
My Kid is of 2years old(2years completed) and was told no appointment required for Kid.

So can someone please tell me when should we take the kid application? is that with me or with my spouse?
