Help needed for DSL-Internet connection from M-Net

Toggle
Dear Friends,

I am having some difficulty in setting up my DSL Internet connection at home. The DSL Internet is taken from M-Net.
To give you some details:
I had earlier an older DSL-Modem from M-Net.
Everything was working fine untill recently. Then I had trouble to get connected to the Internet.Upon calling the customer support team of M-Net I was advised to upgrade my Modem to a newer one.The current modem offered by M-Net is TurboLink and is having the option of getting connected either via USB or alternately via Ethernet Adapter.

In the instruction manual of M-Net it has been recommended to use the Ethernet Adapter for DSL-Internet connection.

I am using the RASPPPoE Application for loging-in.
I get successfully connected to the Internet using my username & password credentials.

The connection to ac2-hr1-lanal052 Status indicates the following:
Server Type: PPP
Transports: TCP/IP
Authentication: MD5 CHAP
PPP multi linking frame: off
Server IP address: the IP address of M-Net's central server
Client IP address: is also successfully assigned

However when I try to access the Internet either through Mozilla Firefox Browser / Internet Explorer then I get the following error:

Seiten Fehler: www.Yahoo.com Server nicht gefunden
I tried to connect to some other internet website such as www.rediff.com , www.timesofindia.com , but without any success.

To provide you some more details:
Local Area Connection- Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) properties - has the following settings:-
Use the following IP Address: 192.168.2.1
Subnet mask 255.255.255.0
In addition I have checked the option for PPP over Ethernet Protocol as well as Client for Microsoft Networks.

Under Advanced TCP/IP settings ( for Local Area Connection ) the following options are active:
1.Append primary and connection specific DNS suffixes
2.Append parent suffixes of the Primary DNS suffix

For TCP/IP Filtering : TCP Ports / UDP Ports / IP Protocols All have the Permit All option.

I shall be really thankful if someone having the knowledge & expertise on this could help me to properly configure my DSL-Internet.Any tips / suggestions are highly appreciated.

Choose under TCP properties,
Obtain an IP address automatically and also for DNs.

Paste here the output of "ipconfig" command on your command prompt.

Hello rajendrak,

Thanks for the suggestion.
I am not very clear regarding the 'ipconfig' part

Normally the ipconfig command displays the current IP address such as 83.105.7.10

Are there any other contents obtained from the 'ipconfig' command ?

Also where exactly must I paste the contents from the ipconfig command ?

Thanks & Best Regards,
Aditya

Hello rajendrak,

Please ignore my earlier post abt the 'ipconfig' part.

I now get it that you had meant that I post the contents of the 'ipconfig' command here in the forum .This might offer some possible hints/clues so as to rectify the problem.

Thanks & Best Regards,
Aditya
