I was wondering if anyone knew the answer to the follwoing two questions.

I am an Indian passport holder holding a NE (umbifristet) that i was given on the basis that i am married to a German national. No specific reasons but we have decided to seperate, i have been married 11 years, and lived in Germany for the last 6 years . I am employed never been on social benefit and got my NE in 2007.

If i seperate and subseqently dicorce will there be any implications to my residency status. Will i lose my permanent residency. My wife and i are being very pleasent about it and there are no issues in terms of the dicorce and it will be mutual consent.

The second question is that we married in the uk and then merely showed the authorities the marriage cert from the uk duly certified when we moved here and hence is it ok to launch divorce proceedings in the uk or do i have to also do the same in germany. Do i need to even tell the authorities in Germany that i have divorced ?. is that required ?/
