@jalal

You get the Urukunde after you handover your Passport (existing), then you go and ask for the Ausweis , reisepass thats it.
you need 1 passport photo, fingerprint fee I dont remember, in 2-3 weeks time you get it

Hi Matrix,

the discussion is completly mixed up emoticon. I try to explain it again.

I got Zusicherung from Behorde 6 months before. They written that, i have to cancell my recent nationality and after cancellation of my recent nationality i have to give them prove of the cancellation of my recent nationality. Now after 6 months my recent nationality is cancelled. My question were

1: After submitting prove of cancellation of recent nationality to behorde, how much time it required to get "Einbürgerungsurkunde".

2: How many processes are still there after submission the cancellation of old nationality.

3: They will send Einbürgerungsurkunde at home or to the local Rathhaus?
4: When i have to submitt my fee of 250 euros?

waiting answers pls......

emoticon Thanks

Matrix - CONGRATS !!

I just have two quick questions for you :

1. I know every application is different and handled differently by the different states but 5 weeks from Antrag till E-urkunde is very fast - may I ask what was the basis of your application ? (7 year, 8 years, did you have NE or Dauerauf-EG etc )

2. I too have an Indian passport and have submitted all documents / Antrag last week in Cologne. Presuming I get the citizenship (8 years stay in the country, currently have Daueraufenthalt-EG), I noticed you mentioned that you had to hand-over the Indian passport to them ?? I thought the passport is property of the government of India and needs to be renounced by you by giving it to the nearest embassy............perhaps the Behoerde does this for you but I am surprised to learn this. My father is an Indian diplomat, Ambassador (not in Germany) and has given me this info....

Thank you in advance and once again, congrats !

@ buntyji

here are the Quick answers :

1. I have applied on 8 years and had NE but no Dauerauf-EG etc.
may be it went quick because I had all the documents required by them including the Einbügerungs test etc ..

2. I am not sure in this case you have to submitt your passport to the Indian Embassy ? may be you can ask AB in Köln.

Good luck and have a lot of fun ...

@ Matrix.
Congragulations on youur success.

1) Which town in Bayern did you exactly apply?
2)When you applied, normally they tell you, how long does it generally take and what did they tell you when you had submitted your papers?

3) My friend had applied in Stuttgart and he was told 6 months and he recieved his "Certificate of Nationaity in 2 months time"
