I have some question concerning process to get a visa in new travel passport.
The question is:
Since end of September I have got new travel pass (because my old expire), but of course my GC still in my old passport (it is valid till 06.2006). Do someone know what is the way to get a new visa in new passport, since there is no more GC since 01.01.2005? Shall I go to Kreisverwaltungsreferat or to Arbeitsamt and which kind of document I have to looking for (e.g. VISA) ?

I just did that yesterday. Easy procdure.

Bring your old and new passport to Auslaenderbehoerde. Dont forget 10 euro for changing cost and also a picture (new visa has your picture now-digitaly). I got back my passport after 15 minutes.

This time the procedure is a littel different, They put in a statement that my visa valid for my current company and i can work max 40 hours per week.


Be aware it might be different procedure in your state

Thanks for the hits so far. As far as I know the new law has to give us a little bit more freedom, but it seems to be more restricted.

maybe for IT few things are worse than GC law,
but for lots of other profesions it is much better.
Even for IT there is lot more good than bad changes.

as I said, even for GC things are much better.
Few things are worse but alltogether it is still much much better.
