Hello,

Does any one have an idea where the Euro to Indian Rupee exchange rate is heading, which has started its decline since December?

@Lubovi

You dont understand the underlying economics. Strong Euro is better for Indians living outside to get more of the home currency when they convert.

I guess a stronger euro could also be good for Indian goods exporters as they will earn more if they would have fixed the price on Euros?
But my motive coincides with Raj's post; well, any of you have an idea, when Euro will get stronger again, or how far the down trend might continue?

EURO is heading lower due to debt crisis of Greece. As long as Greece problem is not resolved EURO will remain weaker against all currencies

@rakhi007

EURO is heading lower due to debt crisis of Greece....

Now we have a For-ex expert in this forum ;-)

Soon, Greece deficit will be over about €400 billion...which the offshoots of great philosophers can never in this lifetime recompense. Entire country is going for a national bankruptcy and of course the entire burden has to be born by European banks, which in turn would make the euro even weaker.

People who want to send euro to India should do it now when you still can get a rate of 63-64......don't even think of waiting to reach the level of 70-71.

In my opinion the euro would fall to the level of at par with dollar, which was planned primordial in year 2002.
