The only limit is imposed by destination country. Amount in excess of certain limit has to be declared at custom.

Hi, As per my knowledge,their is no restrictions on the import or export of local or foreign currency. I think the amounts exceeding €10,000 or equivalent must be declared if travelling from or to a country outside the European Union.
