Hi,
I have applied for NE almost 2 and half months before. All conditions are met but I am still waiting for a positive reply from Ausländerbehorde. I called them yesterday about the status and they informed me that they still haven't got the clearence (Arbeit Agent, Polizi etc.) for my application.
Is that normal that it takes so much time?
I live in Baden-Würtemberg.

nobody knows why it takes so long, but every government office sends their *official* approval in written form with stamps signatures etc.

so stamping may take some time
signing person can be in Mallorca Urlaub usw. usw.

especially if you are in Baden Württemberg, the officers may have gone to find the cheapest but "qualitativ hochwertig" restaurant...

in the meantime if you are not in a hurry to get your "Unbefristet Aufenthalt" you can go and eat ice cream with your family, watch movies, do some work and enjoy life, mine took 4 months, I took some indian/pakistan sweets to the behörde, I think it made the process faster, officers were surprised and ate all of the contents of the sweets box, lol
