i am GC and living in Germany for last 3.5 years.

now i want to change my company. what are the points i have to check before going to the Ausländerbehörde?

does the procedure still same?
1. go to AM and get the zusicherung der arbeitserlaubnis
2 and with in three months change it to normal AE?

is still the restriction about minimum yearly salary (it was 40000K for bayern before 6-7 months) exists?

Hi,

I'm changing my job just now. Regarding to my experience, the procedure is:

- Sign a contract;
- Go with this contract to the AB (AusländerBehörde);
- There you'll get a relative simple form, which should be filled by your new company. There are some details aboult you, like Social Security Number - you must know it when filling the form; Also - I'm not sure did I needed or not copies from my international passport, but better prepare them;
- Go back to AB with this form and a copy of the contract with the new company; You need your international passport too; AB will write a letter to AA (ArbeitsAmt) and will send it to AA by post;
- AA will do an "Arbeitsmarktcheck" - what exactly does it meen, I don't now. Probably: is your new salary adequate to the market;
- Wait about 4 weeks and go back to AB (the procedure takes 4 - 6 weeks);
- Next - I don't know ... I'm going to visit AB after about 20 days.

My Situation is also similar.
What would happen if i go to AB just 1 or 2 days before the starting date in the New company ! ? Am I not allowed to work at the company before i got all these process ended.

for eg. I have a job since 3.5 yrs now.Now I have
got a another job.I have to take up the new job on April 01. What i have to do ?

Is it too late to Inform in the AB ?

I read some where, that if you are since more than 3 years in deutschland you don't need some formalities, are they also excluded from 'Arbeitsmarktcheck'?

- Next - I don't know ... I'm going to visit AB after about 20 days.

I see something more on the argument from shino,

normally if somebody work in company for 3 or more years he has a kündigungsfrist of atleast 2 months. that means normaly he has to quit his current job bofore starting all this formalities. Now AM gonna tell you after 4-8 weeks "no you are not allowed to take this new job, we want to pay you only ALG"?? hey what a law is this?
