Hi GCs,

I'm GC since 2004.11, but I studied in Germany since 2000. In addition to study I had work permit and worked too, so next spring I would have payed 60 pension payments.
As student I had "Aufenthaltsbewilligung".
Thus, next sping I would have 60 months "Pflichtbeiträge zur gesetzlichen Rentenversicherung", but only 1 year "Aufenthaltserlaubnis".

It is possible to get NE in such situation?

No, "Bewilligung" times are not counted for NE, no matter what you do with a "Bewilligung" permit (newly changed to "Aufenthaltserlaubnis zu Studienzwecken")
, your residence has a temporary nature and therefore it is not counted for NE.
(Interestingly enough, some German states count it for the time period required for citizenship application)

for the NE, you should possess Aufenthaltserlaubnis for min. 60 months as they donot count the period of study in it. But this period is counted for the Citizenship period, so I think you would be applying for NE and citizenship together after 4 years or so.

Above is true but you should try to get NE and maybe you will have luck. Many others got NE because Bewilligung was counted.

I didnt hear a single person who managed to get NE by using his/her Bewilligung times. Are you sure that you are not confusing it with citizenship applications ?
