thnx for this link.
So as I understand, there would be no German social benefits available to me in India (that makes sense..).
What about the pension....when returning to India. How can I get it back...

One last question: If anyone can share his/her first hand experiences of moving to India after a long stay in Germany (10+ yrs), practical problems one faces during the transition process....and how does life changes, adjustments in India,  combating life style changes, etc.

Hi,

pl. have a detailed look in the below document. May be you will find answers to your queries.

http://www.deutsche-rentenversicherung.de/cae/servlet/contentblob/233460/publicationFile/21995/working_in_germany_no_contracting_states.pdf

concerning the situations in india, ofcourse it will take some time to get adjusted but things will get normal..otherwise you still have a chance to come back and settle down here or in country of your choice.

The ones who are in india now, can give more info to your query.

Good luck

The Link is outdated. Indian Governmen has already signed an agreemnt with Germany regarding the social security contributions and is no more a "non contracting" state as described in the document

As said by Basbrem, only the ones who are in India can guide you about the situation and change in lifestyle.
