Is Unlimited/unconditional Work Permit really "unlimited"?

Alternar
Hi All,
I have new work permit changed from my previous GC to Uneingeschränkte Arbeitserlaubnis (means probably unrestricted work permit). Now if I have an opportunity in another country and should I leave Germany for that purpose (let say for a year or two or more...), would my work permit be still valid if I have a job in Germany after coming back here again (after 1 or 2 years or later)?
To add to this, my residence permit is valid only 1 more year and is then subjected for extention.

Thanks for your kind reply.

If you take your residence outside of Germany for more than 6 months, then your GC becomes void and thus your WP, because as GC being void, you would have to go to all the hassle of getting a new visa and all --> a new WP too.

Hi Nobody,
Thanks for answerring.

Its no more a GC for me (right?) as its neither binded to IT nor to a company anymore. If this is not true, then why calling it unconditional/unrestricted?

Could you also please quote the law articles?
Thanks again.

"It's no more a GC for me (right?) as its neither binded to IT nor to a company anymore", right.

"If this is not true, then why calling it unconditional/unrestricted?", it's unconditional and unrestricted because you can work in any discipline you want and for whichever company you want in an unrestricted and unconditional manner, that were the points making the GC conditional and restricted.

"Could you also please quote the law articles?", regarding which point?
